Well our little trek across around the east coast finally came to a halt on Saturday June 26 back home here in Philly. Unfortunately it didn't turn out to be the ideal circumstances in which to see our friends in Place of Skulls off as their set was cut short because police began lining up across the street around 1:00 am. The bartender got freaked out and told PoS they had to stop playing thus cutting their set short by at least a half an hour.

If there's only ONE thing we've come away from during this experience it's that PoS are one of the greatest bands out there right now and a total credit to our beloved genre. No ass kissing....it's simply the truth as anyone who's seen them on this tour will surely attest to. Awesome songs crafted by verteran musicians who simply exude professionalism and conviction. I speak not only for myself but also for the rest of Pale Divine when I say that it was an honor to be in their presence night after night! Truly inspiring. Thank you Victor, Tim, Dennis and Ryan...hope to see you guys soon, take care!

The thanks don't end there....

Praise be to Karl Simon, Jason McCash and Chuck Brown of The Gates of Slumber for being hosts to the Templars of Doom Festival. Now as many of you know we've been part of about all these type of things since SHoD I so we thought we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. Not since the awesome Born Too Late Fest has there been such an incredible roster of bands committed to and solely about furthering the DOOM metal movement. No ego trips - no watered down trendy "stoner rock" just unity for one common cause...DOOM METAL. Obviously, no easy feat considering you had such luminaries as Dave Chandler, Ron Holzner, Barry Stern, Victor Griffin, etc.

Thanks to Chris Kozlowski for his expertise at the sound board, our blood bothers in Internal Void, The AWESOME Orodruin, Louis & Gus of Wretched and every other band we had the pleasure of playing with on Saturday. Sorry we had to miss Fridays festivities but we did have the pleasure of playing Kentucky with newcomers VALKYRIE...an amazing young band who who truly make a unique statement in their combination of DOOM and traditional METAL! Keep an eye out for them!

ETERNITY REVEALED UPDATE - 04.06.04
COURTESY OF MARTYR MUSIC: "Eternity Revealed" is being finished this week. An in-store date of July 6th is in place, however we will make the CD available for mailorder customers as well as for any live appearances the band may have prior to July 6th. Speaking of live performances, Pale Divine (as well as former MMG recording artists Novembers Doom) will appear at the Templars of Doom festival in Indiana.
The line-up is starting to look pretty damn good so lend your support and check out www.templarsofdoom.com for more info on tickets, venue, etc. Unfortunately I believe this venue is 21+ but you should stay tuned to the templars website for updated and correct info.

HEAVY NEW YEAR - 01.09.04

Well now seems as good a time as any to usher in 2004 with a fairly comprehensive update to bring you all up to speed....
Our debut CD "Thunder Perfect Mind" is now officially OUT OF PRINT! Game Two plans to repress sometime in the future but for now if you don't have it some copies are still available from HELLRIDE and BRAINTICKET.COM.
On October 19th we entered Chris Kozlowski's "Polar Bear Lair" studios to lay down the basic tracks for the forthcoming "Eternity Revealed" CD. A total of eleven songs were recorded including a few from the long out of print "Crimson Tears" demo as well as a cover of Solitude by seminal DOOM legends Candlemass (done up Pale Divine style). "Solitude" is one of the few covers that have long been a part of our rehearsals and occasional live sets. It's one that Greg really shines on vocally and we thought it would mesh well with the rest of the material on the CD (as well as pay tribute to a phenomenal band who, as so many of you know, was instrumental in puting this genre of music on the map).
As it stands now we plan to finish "Eternity Revealed" by the end of Febuary and it's likely to be on the shelves sometimes around late spring early summer. Once again Brian Tutlo has created a masterpiece of front cover art for the CD and for those of you who admired the "Thunder Perfect Mind" cover art wait until you feast your eyes on this! The man has really out done himself this time and we can't thank him enough for the countless hours of work that went into it.
Also, we will be part of the "Templars of Doom" fest in Indianapolis, Indiana. So for all you doom metal loyalists this is where you want to be on the 19th of June!

In the year of our lord of 2004 on the sixth month and the nineteenth day the first crusade of the Templars Of Doom will begin. In the Wasteland of the US known to all as Indianapolis, Indiana.
